# Everything you need to Know Atma Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana

In a bid to improve the health institutions in the country, while presenting **India’s 2021 budget**, the Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a new centrally sponsored scheme called **Atma Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana**.

## **Funds Alloted**

With an outlay of **Rs. 64,180 crore**, this scheme is going to improve the primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare systems of our country and will set up new institutions to easily curb any new and emerging disease.

## **AIM**

The main aim of Atma Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana is to improve and set up the below mentioned institutes in India.

- 17,788 Rural Health Centres
- 11,024 Urban Health Centres
- Public Health Labs
- 5 Regional National Centre for Disease Control Branches (NCDC)
- 20 Metropolitan Health Surveillance Units of NCDC
- 9 Biosafety Level 3 Labs
- 4 National Institutes of Virology

All the AIMS of Atma Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana are planned to be completed in the coming 6 years.
