# CBSE to release Class 10th board exam result in the Third week of June

Yesterday, the Central Board of Secondary Education released the assessment criteria to calculate the marks of this year’s Class 10th board students.

As per the assessment criteria, out of 100 marks in each subject, **20 marks** will be given for the **Internal Assessment** whereas **80 marks** comprises the different exams like **Periodic Test, Half Yearly exams, Mid-Terms, Pre-Boards** that was** **taken throughout the year.

Students who will not be able to qualify the exams can apply for [grace marks](https://satyawaadi.com/cbse-board-students-improve-marks-one-subject-compartment-exam/) to board, however, even after getting the grace marks if they won’t qualify the exam, they can appear for what the CBSE calls the **Essential Repeat or Compartment Exams**.

CBSE has asked all the schools to keep each and every document of the students safe so that they may verify the marks sometime later to ensure the correctness of the result. If any schools found giving marks to their students through any unfair means, they will be punished.

The board has asked all its affiliated schools to submit the marks by** June 11**.

Most of the schools have already completed the Assessment Tests and have uploaded the marks to the CBSE portal, while some schools are still in the process to do so.

The board has said that after getting the marks from the school, **the result will be declared in the third week of June**.

After the result is declared, the schools start taking the Compartment exams through online or offline mode. Amid the declaration of Compartment exam results, students participating in compartment exams will be provisionally promoted to Class 11th.
