Election Commission bans Modi Journey of a Common Man Web Series

Election Commission has banned the streaming of Eros now original web series called Modi Journey of a Common Man. Well as the name clearly indicates this web series is based on the life of current Prime Minister of India i.e. Narendra Modi. Election commission ask Eros now to remove all the content regarding this web series from their Platform until they further notify them up. Note that there are a total of 5 episodes available on Eros now for this web series earlier which is now removed by Eros now as per the directive of EC.

In this web series actor Mahesh Thakur plays the role of Modi when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. However, Actor Ashish Sharma plays the role of Modi when he was young.

The Trailer for the same series is available on YouTube till now.

The locations for the shooting for this web series are mostly the rural areas of Gujarat like Siddhpur and Vadnagar. If you notice these the same place where Current Prime Minister grew up.

Earlier Election commission has already banned a movie (PM Narendra Modi) based on the life of PM Modi which was scheduled to release on April 11.

As these materials violate the code of conduct as Lok sabha election 2019 is currently going on in our country, Election commission put hold on such things.
