Before Banerjee, the two women Judges who already settle as the Judges of Indian Supreme Court are Justice R Banumathi and Justice Indu Malhotra.

Moreover, Along with Justice Indra Banerjee, two more judges are appointed as the Judges of Supreme Court of India. The name of those Judges is Justice Vineet Saran( Earlier serves as the Chief Justice of Odisha High Court) and Justice KM Joseph(Earlier serves as the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court).

Supreme Court Panel first appoints Justice KM Joseph as one of the Judges of Supreme Court in January this Year. However, after this decision, a controversy arises between the Government and the Panel. Therefore, the decision suspends that time. However, the Rule says if the Panel again recommends his name, Government also has to accept it.
