Do you know that India’s longest river ropeway has got ready on the Brahmaputra river? Yes, India’s largest river ropeway has got ready on the Brahmaputra river of Guwahati. This River Ropeway will connect North Guwahati with South Guwahati. What makes this architecture a worth is, it cuts down the travel time between North Guwahati and South Guwahati and takes only 7 minutes in total. Yes, With this river ropeway one could travel between North and South Guwahati in just 7 minutes.
In a talk with ANI, the river ropeway development authority chairman, Ashok Singhal reveals, this infrastructure rollout for public usage in coming 6 month. He also explain, this project got its speed when Sarbananda Sonowal became the Chief Minister of Assam.
Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority has completed this whole project under guidance of Chairman Ashok Singhal. He explain the total worth of this project is around Rs. 53 crore.
In December last year, PM Modi inaugurate India’s Longest Railroad bridge over the same river. So, When this project become live for everyone, Brahmaputra River became the first one who have India’s Longest Railroad bridge plus India’s Longest River Ropeway.
This 2 Km long bridge will boost tourism in Guwahati by giving beautiful aerial view over Brahmaputra River.
It cuts down the travel time between North and South Guwahati from 1 Hour to 7 minutes.
