The impact of the growing cases of corona is now visible on the laboratories of the country. In order to reduce the pressure on the laboratories, the central government has introduced new rules for the corona testing happening in the country.
Now under these new rules, if a healthy traveler travels from one state to another, then his/her COVID testing will not be done.
Apart from this, those patients of COVID who have become healthy will not be tested when they are discharged from the hospital.
There are currently 2506 corona testing laboratories in the country and according to the latest data, more than 3 lakh corona cases are being received everyday in the last one week in India. In such a situation, it has become necessary for the government to limit the test so that the testing of patients whose condition is critical is not affected.
Many states in the country take several days to give the RT-PCR report. The result is now many people are inclined towards the expensive CT-Scans that detect the signs of infection in lungs. Recently, the AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria had told about the side effects of CT-Scan.
