Country’s biggest telecom arm – Reliance Jio IPO is likely to list this year.
In a research note, the foreign brokerage and investment group, CLSA wrote, 2022 is going to be the year of big events.
From 5G spectrum auction to IPO listing, this year will feature all.
In 2021, 63 companies launched their IPO that raises over Rs 1.2 lakh crore.
In 2022, 23 companies are going to launch their IPO in the March quarter that is said to raise Rs 44000 crore.
However, everyone targets their eye on the Reliance Jio IPO listing which is estimated to be valued at Rs 7.5 lakh crore.
While the company is all set to become public now, its 33% pre-IPO stake has already been acquired by 13 companies that include names like Facebook (10%) and Google (8%).
The Investment group valued Jio’s mobile business at $99 billion EV whereas JioFibre at $5 billion EV.
Apart from the mega Initial Public Offer by Reliance, LIC, PharmEasy, Byju’s, OLA, Fincare Small Finance Bank are some of the expected companies which can be in the IPO List 2022.
In addition to the IPO listing, 2022 could also be a vital year for some of the relatable big events. Let’s talk about them now.
The Auction of 5G Spectrum
The firm believes 2022 could be the year of 5G Spectrum Auctions.
However, its success depends on the Auction Rate.
For example, if in the 3.3-3.6 GHz band, the auction price would be $7 billion per 100 Mhz, then, the auction will succeed with flying colors.
Amid this global pandemic, the need for quality broadband connectivity has increased. And, 5G services could counter the same.
Spike in Revenue
Don’t know how many of you know, in order to increase the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), the three major telcos (Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea) of our country has raised their prepaid tariff by 20-25%.
The high demand for the internet amid this global pandemic has whistled the telcos to raise their tariff rate. And, seeing the existing situation we can easily say that the telcos will earn high revenue.
