In this war of subscriber gaining, Today Airtel launches two new products called XStream Box and XStream Stick in India. Both of these two products are rebranded version of Airtel TV. However, both of them works differently and in this article I’m going to talk about these two products in detail.
Airtel XStream Box is a 4K Set Top Box that supports both the DTH connection and Chromecast. However, XStream Box also has XStream App that has content like Movies and TV Shows from different OTT services like ZEE5, Eros Now, Hooq, Hoi Choi and more. At the time of purchase, Users get access to these content for 1 year at no cost. Also they get 1 month of Airtel’s HD DTH subscription for free.
Airtel XStream Box also has Google Assistant Powered remote which you can control with your voice. What makes this remote unique is it has dedicated buttons for some of the popular OTT services in the Industry like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.
Because XStream Box is powered by Google’s Android TV OS, user can also install more than 5000 supported apps from Google Play Store.
Now, Coming to XStream Stick, other than DTH connection it has all the features which I mentioned above for XStream Box. That means with XStream Stick you won’t get support for DTH connection.
Although these two devices are different, however, the price of both of them are same i.e. Rs. 3,999. Existing Airtel Digital TV subscribers however get XStream Box for only Rs. 2,249. Users can buy these devices from Airtel Online Store.
