After the massive success of Sacred Games, Delhi Crime, Ghoul, and Typewriter, Netflix is now releasing three more Indian Web Series on its platform. Tipping point is an arm of Viacom Studios and is responsible for making these three Indian web series.
Those of you who don’t know Viacom Studios is a joint venture of Viacom 18 and Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani led Network 18. Now, the Tipping point is responsible for making content for Voot as well as Reliance Jio. Voot, on the other hand, is the OTT platform led by Viacom Studios.
Now, Tipping Point raises its hand to shake with Netflix and going to provide three Indian Web Series. The name of these three Indian Web Series are She, Jamtara – Sabka Number Aayega, and Taj Mahal 1989.
Talking about these web series, She is the story of an undercover cop who is busting a drug cartel and in between discovering her sexuality. Jamtara, on the other hand, is a story of a small town that is identified as India’s Phishing Capital. Lastly, Taj Mahal 1989 is a love story.
Of course, Tipping Point collaborates with Netflix for the first time. However, that is not with the case of Network 18. Network 18 already gives some successful titles to Netflix. Examples are Andhadhun, Padmaavat. Besides these two, Network 18, right now, is working on the remake of Forrest Gump (called Laal Singh Chaddha), starring Aamir Khan.
