Sunil Arora is now the Chief Election Commissioner. Sunil Arora, who has previously served as an IAS officer, now serves as the Chief Election Commissioner of India. Note that, Arora is now responsible to monitor 2019 Lok Sabha elections. ANI first disclose this information via their twitter handle while joining a press meet with Sunil Arora.

In 2019 there are 6 states in which Lok Sabha Elections are coming. These states are Jammu Kashmir, Maharashtra, Haryana, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh.

Previously, OP Rawat held the position of Chief Election Commissioner of India. According to our Indian Constitution, one can present at this position at a total of 6 years or till the age of 65.

Arora who is now 62-year-old previously was an IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre 1980 batch.
