After 5 years of gap from the movies and entertainment Industry, the former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen finally going to debut in her first Web series releasing on Disney Plus Hotstar this month. The Hotstar specials web series titled Aarya is releasing on June 19 with Sen playing the role of Aarya, a dutiful mother and good wife becoming a fierce woman after her husband is shot dead on broad daylight.
Neerja Director Ram Madhvani has written this web series and co-directed it with Sandeep Modi and Vinod Rawat. This crime and drama genre web series is said to be the remake of Dutch Crime thriller Penoza (aka Black Widow).
Talking about the story what I understand from the trailer is, the web series is all about a woman who ealier was a happy mother and a good wife but later transformed into a don to take over his illegal medicines business. Amid all this She also has to protect her three children and manages police scrutiny and constant threats from her husband’s business partners.
