UPSC Releases Notification for CDS Part 1 Examination 2019. The panel is open now, therefore, those candidates who want to take part in this exam can apply till November 26. The panel will open till November 26 till 6 PM.

Talking about the examination which is going to be conducted on February 3. However, after conducting and selecting candidates via this exam officials fill out a total of 417 vacancies.

About CDS Examination

CDS that stands for Combined Defense Service, an examination which is conducted twice a year. This examination recruit candidates for IMA i.e Indian Military Academy, INA i.e. Indian Naval Academy, and IAFA i.e. Indian Air Force Academy etc.

The CDS Part 1 is conducted in the month of February, however, its Part 2 is conducted in November every year. This year also CDS part 2 exam is going to happen on November 18.

One thing that is worth noting only Graduate candidates can sit for this examination and they must be unmarried. Candidates who qualify for this examination then go for an interview round which is taken by SSB i.e. Services Selection Board. Qualifying the interview round leads them to find a place in institutes we mention above i.e. IMA, IAF etc.

Talking about the Age Limit, If a candidate wants to join IMA, IAFA, INA his age must lie between 19-24 years. Moreover, candidates who want to Join Officer’s Training Academy their age limit is 19-25 years.

CDS Examination Subjects

Following are the subjects from which question has been prepared for CDS examination.

Note that below are the three subjects for CDS ( IMA, IAFA, and INA)

  1. English 100 Marks
  2. General Knowledge 100 Marks
  3. Elementary Maths 100 Marks

Therefore, A total of 300 Marks examination for IMA, IAFA, and INA.

Moreover, for candidates who want to Join Officer’s Training Academy can give CDS examination with two subjects only. These subjects are English and General Knowledge. Both of these subjects are of 100 Marks, therefore, a total of 200 Marks of Examination.

How to Apply for CDS Part 1 Examination 2019?

Before Applying for Examination, Read the Examination Brochure Carefully.

First Open the Web Page https://www.upsconline.nic.in

Next, Click on Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC.

Now, In this panel, you will see two links for Registration that says Click here for Part 1 and Click Here for Part 2. In part 1, you have to fill your basic information like Personal details, Educational Qualifications, and Address. Moreover, Part 2 comprises of Payment Details, Selection of Examination Centre, Photo and Signature Upload etc.

You have to fill out both of these parts one by one by filling out the 1st Part first.

The Photo must be in JPG format of size between 20KB to 300KB While the resolution of 350×350.

You can pay the application fee (Rs 200) via SBI Net Banking, SBI Debit or Credit Card or via SBI Bank Challan.

Indian Military Academy Dehradun has 100 Posts vacant.

Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala has 45 Post Vacant

Air Force Academy Hyderabad has 32 Posts.

Officers Training Academy Chennai (Men) has 225 Posts vacant.

Moreover, Officer’s Training Academy, 23RD SSC Women for Non-Technical Course has 15 Posts vacant.
