In this article, I have listed all the Indian States who have extended the lockdown period in their state till April 30.
While the lockdown that was imposed by the Prime Minister of India back on March 24 going to complete on April 14, Some states have extended the lockdown period till April 30 as they aren’t seeing any progress to break COVID-19 cases in their state amid 21 day lockdown period. Hence, In this article, I am gonna talk about and naming those states who have extended the lockdown period till April 30.
States who have extended the lockdown period till April 30 (List)
At the time of writing this article, a total of 7 states have extended the lockdown period till April 30 and these states are as follows.
Arunachal Pradesh
The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary today has said the Lockdown has extended in the state till April 30. In the same period, only the state run buses are allowed to route. Also, construction work can only be resumed after talking permission from the respective officials.
Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today announced about the extension of lockdown period till April 30 in the state.
Maharastra
In India, right now, Maharastra record the highest number of COVID-19 cases. In view of it, Maharastra CM Uddhav Thackeray attend a video conference meeting with PM Modi and then announced the extension of lockdown till April 30.
Telangana
Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao also announced the extension of lockdown till April 30 as the situation hasn’t got better in the 21 day lockdown period that is going to complete on April 14.
West Bengal
West Bengal also have imposed the state wide lockdown till April 30 and has closed all the schools and colleges in the state till June 10.
Odisha
Odisha was the first state to extend the 21 day Nationwide lockdown imposed by PM Modi in the state. Last week on Thursday, Odisha CM announced about lockdown extension till April 30 via CMO Odisha official Twitter handle.
Punjab
After Odisha, Punjab announced the lockdown extension till May 1.
