In this article, I am going to explain you to How to apply for Duplicate Pan Card Online from either of the NSDL or the UTITSL website? Do you know that you could generate a duplicate Pan Card even if you haven’t lost it or damaged it? Well, both of the Pan Card issuing authority, i.e. NSDL and UTITSL, give us the facility to generate a duplicate Pan card.

Fun Fact: Income Tax Department has given NSDL-TIN and UTITSL, the two bodies the responsibility to issue Pan Cards for Individuals.

We have both the option to generate the softcopy as well as the Hardcopy of our Pan Card. From softcopy, I mean the PDF one and from Hardcopy I mean the PVC coated one.

To get the softcopy of our Pan Card (i.e. in PDF File), we won’t have to pay a single penny. However, to get the Hardcopy we have to pay Rs 50 if dispatching the Pan Card within India. However, the dispatching charge increases to Rs. 959 when dispatching the Pan Card outside India.

Now, before visiting the online portal (to generate the duplicate copy of your Pan Card), make sure you have these three things handy.

  1. Your Pan Number
  2. Aadhaar Number
  3. and Your Date of Birth

Once you have these three things handy, visit your concerning body page, who issued your Pan Card. Below I mention the link of them.
