While Corona has marked its presence in almost all the Indian states, still there are two Indian states left where Corona has not reached so far. I’m talking about Nagaland and Lakshadweep. As per data provided by Union Health Ministry, Nagaland and Lakshadweep haven’t reported any Corona case so far.
Like other states, Nagaland Government also takes precautionary measurments such as sealing the border, announcing incentives for state migrants. In April, a 33 year old trader from Dimapur reports symptoms of COVID-19 but he was quickly admitted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. The patient has now been cured and till now Nagaland haven’t reported any corona case so far.
To encourage the natives not to return to the state, Nagaland Government announce one time incentive of Rs. 10,000 to each native citizen. However, still 19,000 citizens opt to return to the state and that’s why last week the Nagaland governement opened a COVID-19 testing lab in Kohima. Also, opening quarantine centers at Dimapur and Kohima where returning migrants from red zones going to quarantine for 14 days.
Apart from Nagaland, Lakshadweep also haven’t reported any Corona case so far. That’s because of the geographical isolation of the archipelago.
Compared to other states, the North Indian States showing well. Take Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh as examples that earlier shows one COVID-19 case each, however, now both of these states have no active cases.
