Why Users get 13 Digits Mobile Number from 1 July 2018?

As the number of Mobile users in India is drastically large therefore the lack of 10 digits mobile number occurs. Moreover, according to officials, there is no any combination of 10 digits of Mobile numbers are left. So, they are upgrading the Mobile number format from 10 digits to 13 digits.

Let me tell you this is not the first time telecom ministry has taken such kind of decision. In 2002, the officials add 2 more digits in front of phone number due to the scarcity of 6 digit phone number.

The telecom ministry says all the telecom operators are right now upgrading to this new system. Moreover, they are also developing the cross call system such that there isn’t any problem happens when a call takes place between 13 digits and 10 digits Mobile number.
